DAYWISE ITINERARY

Day 1: Airport – Kandy

• Meet & Assist on arrival by One Above staff and transfer from Airport to Kandy. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage – started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants, now home to over 65 including 23 babies born through the captive breeding program. The best time to visit is during feeding (0930–1000 hrs / 1330–1400 hrs) and bathing (1000–1030 hrs / 1400–1430 hrs) when elephants are taken to the nearby river. On completion, proceed to Kandy for a city tour. Kandy, nestled amidst lush hills, captivates with cultural and natural wonders: Temple of the Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Royal Palace, Bahirawakanda Buddha Statue, and a traditional Kandyan dance performance. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy.

Day 2: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

• Breakfast at hotel. Transfer from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a Tea Plantation and the Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple at Ramboda. Learn about Sri Lanka’s tea heritage dating back to 1824, now the world’s largest exporter with over 200,000 hectares under cultivation. At Ramboda, visit the 18-ft Hanuman statue inside Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple, an important Ramayana site. On completion, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya – Bentota

• Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a city tour in Nuwara Eliya, the “Little England” of Sri Lanka, surrounded by valleys, waterfalls, tea plantations, and colonial-era houses. Visit Sita Amman Temple, Gayathri Peedam, Hakgala Gardens, Gregory Lake, and Victoria Park. Later, transfer to Bentota.
