Overview

Nagarhole National Park, is also called as Rajiv Gandhi National Park located in Karnataka, India, is a renowned wildlife sanctuary and tiger reserve spread across 643.39 square kilometers. It's part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and boasts rich biodiversity with dense forests, small streams, and waterfalls. Nagarahole is acclaimed as one of the high-density tiger populations in the country after Corbett & Kaziranga tiger reserves respectively. It comprises of some amazing landscapes and marvelous streams that swerve around like a snake, leaving the wildlife enthusiasts and the visitors astonishing with its natural beauty.

The best time to visit Nagarhole National Park is from October to May, with the ideal weather conditions for spotting wildlife. Here's a breakdown of the seasons:

Best Season: - Dry Season (October to May): Pleasant weather, ideal for spotting wildlife as animals congregate around water sources.

Summer (March to May): Hot weather, but excellent for tiger and elephant sightings. Monsoon: - June to September:  It will be raining but the forest looks wonderful with lush green landscapes and nothing is best other than photographing a Tiger in lush green forest.

Tips:

  • Plan your trip during the dry season for optimal wildlife viewing.
  • Early morning and late afternoon game drives offer the best chances of spotting animals.
