Day Wise Itinerary

Day 01 – Arrival & Drive to Thimphu

  • On arrival at Paro International Airport, meet our representative and drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. Enjoy scenic roads passing through picturesque hamlets.
  • Visit the Memorial Chorten, a 1974 Tibetan-style Buddhist monastery with golden spires and intricate mandalas, and Tashichho Dzong, the Fortress of the Dharma Raja housing government offices and monastic bodies (open after 5 pm weekdays, 9 am–5 pm weekends).
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 02 – Thimphu Sightseeing

  • Explore Thimphu’s cultural landmarks after breakfast. Visit the massive Buddha Dordenma statue at Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park, home to 125,000 smaller Buddhas.
  • Discover Bhutan’s national animal at the Takin Sanctuary, the rural heritage at the Folk Heritage Museum, sacred texts at the National Library, and traditional textiles at the National Textile Museum.
  • Witness Thangka painting demonstrations at the Painting School.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 03 – Thimphu to Punakha

  • Drive to Punakha with a stop at Dochula Pass to admire panoramic Himalayan views and 108 chortens built by the Queen Mother.
  • In Punakha, visit Chimi Lhakhang, dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kinley, known for fertility blessings, and explore the stunning Punakha Dzong, an architectural marvel and former administrative center.
  • Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 04 – Punakha to Paro

  • After breakfast, drive back to Paro through scenic valleys.
  • Explore Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), a 16th-century fortress and administrative hub, and the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in the circular Ta-dzong building, featuring over 3,000 Bhutanese art and cultural artifacts.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 05 – Tiger’s Nest Hike & Kyichu Lhakhang

  • Embark on a 4–5 hour hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), the iconic cliffside monastery perched at 3,000 m.
  • Pause at a mid-way teahouse for rest and panoramic views.
  • Later, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, known for its sacred orange trees and centuries-old Buddhist heritage.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 06 – Departure from Paro

  • After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey, taking with you memories of Bhutan’s spiritual and natural wonders.
